We make time for children to be active and to rest; to play and to learn; to be indoors and outside; to be sociable and to have time just to be themselves.

A place for creativity

We encourage children's creative expression by providing varied resources and equipment like light boxes, overhead projectors and mirrors. Toddlers and Pre-school children have full access to an art studio area (we call them Ateliers and we have two full-time artists called Atelieristas)

Children at Reflections are keen to explore and investigate their ideas, their work tends to turn into long-term projects. Our role is to support their teamwork and most of all, give them time to reflect on their learning. So, when we noticed a dead tree in the garden we saw it as an opportunity to engage the children's creativity and, over a few months, they wrapped the tree in bandages (because it was poorly), made jumpers for the tree (to keep it warm), made new leaves out of cabbages (which turned smelly after a while) and created a dance to cheer up the tree.
